The ski jumper’s RAW-Air tour is in the upcoming Olympic winter. The series had celebrated its premiere in March 2017 as a Norwegian counterpart to the four -hill tour, but has been struggling with problems since then.
“In 2026 there will be no RAW-Air tour. We want to concentrate on a smaller number of competitions and increase the interest and value of these events,” fis racing director Sandro Pertile told the Skijumping.pl portal.
Normal World Cup weekends will take place in Oslo and Vikersund in March. It is not yet known whether the series will return in the winter of 2026/27.
The RAW-Air tour celebrated its premiere with competitions in Oslo, Lillehammer, Trondheim and Vikersund in 2017. But difficulties followed again and again: Corona caused a termination and in 2021 for a cancellation, in 2022 the series was shortened at four stations due to the ski flight World Cup in Vikers and four competition days. Trondheim was deleted in 2023 for renovation work, in 2024 Lillehammer had to fit for organizational reasons. Lillehammer and Trondheim were missing in the overall victory of Andreas Wellinger.
