On June 15, 2022, Ozzy Osbourne gave a first update on his Instagram account after his extensive neck surgery. The singer thanked his fans and confirmed that he was currently recovering at home.
“I’m at home now and recovering well,” said the 73-year-old. “I definitely feel the love and support from all my fans and I send a big thank you to everyone for their thoughts, prayers and well wishes during my recovery.”
Sharon Osbourne also speaks out
The wife and manager of the musician revealed on June 13, 2022 in her Instagram story that her husband is recovering from the operation and also thanked her for the kind words.
“Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy’s surgery!”
“Ozzy is fine and on the mend! Your love means the world to him.”
Consequences of a quad accident
Ozzy Osbourne’s injuries stem from an ATV accident in 2003 in which the former Black Sabbath singer was seriously injured. Ozzy recently said he can’t walk properly because of his back problems.
In this regard, Sharon Osbourne recently revealed that she will be traveling to Los Angeles to support Ozzy Osbourne. She also emphasized the importance of the operation for her husband’s health:
“He has a very important operation on Monday and I have to be there. She’s really going to define the rest of his life.”
