Justin Bieber took the stage at the Roxy in Los Angeles on Sunday evening – his first major appearance in the USA in four years, just before his headlining set at Coachella.

The private club concert featured 25 songs, all from Bieber’s two 2025 albums, “Swag” and “Swag II” (according to Setlist.fm and a photo shared on social media). Bieber apparently played two regular sets as well as an acoustic set that included versions of “Mother in You,” “Things You Do” and “Dotted Line,” among others.

Although Bieber had obviously enforced a strict ban on cell phones, a few short videos still found their way online. Including two clips that show Bieber leading a hyped-up crowd through his hit single “Daisies” – fittingly, the final song of the night.

Fans sing along

A short excerpt from “Yukon” has also surfaced, with fans enthusiastically singing along to the hook.

With the caveat that it was an invite-only event, the Roxy concert was likely Bieber’s first full-fledged public appearance since the end of his “Justice” tour in 2022. (Bieber had initially postponed the tour and then canceled it entirely due to a series of health problems.) Since then, the pop star has been largely absent from the stage – aside from a few private gigs (like a 2024 appearance at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s lavish wedding, the children of two Indian billionaires) and isolated TV appearances (e.g. at the NHL All-Star Game in 2024 and the Grammys in February).

Last November, Bieber live-streamed a ten-song performance on Twitch, but it contained mostly older material and nothing “swag.”

Coachella is getting closer

The concert at the Roxy was almost certainly a warm-up before Coachella, where Bieber will be headlining alongside Sabrina Carpenter and Karol G. The first Coachella weekend will take place April 10-12, the second will take place April 17-19.
