First store in Portugal: Tedi continues its international expansion

The retailer Tedi GmbH & Co. KG has entered another new market. The discounter opened its first store in Portugal last Friday. It is located in the city of Guimarães and, according to the company, has an area of ​​around 760 square meters. The store marks the beginning of further expansion in the country, Tedi announced on Monday. In the course of the first business year, five more new openings are planned in Portugal.

The Dortmund-based company claims to be one of “Germany’s leading non-food retailers” and currently operates around 2,800 branches. After entering the Portuguese market, Tedi is now represented in twelve countries. The retail chain also has stores in Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Croatia, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania.
