First practice pot under coach Alfred Schreuder is easy prey for Ajax

Ajax has easily brought the first practice match of the season to a successful conclusion. In Oldenzaal, the team from Amsterdam won 3-0 against SV Meppen, which plays at the third level in Germany. The new trainer Alfred Schreuder therefore starts the practice campaign with Ajax flawlessly.

At Ajax, which is at a training camp in De Lutte this week, all internationals were missing. As a result, the national champion started with a team that consisted of reserves and players from Jong Ajax. For Sontje Hansen it turned out to be a good match to show his qualities. The winger made a statement with two goals before half-time after Christian Rasmussen opened the scoring.

Schreuder made a decent change after the break and gave Jay Gorter a place under the bar, among others. He replaced Maarten Stekelenburg, who died last Friday expiring contract extended by one year† A considerably rejuvenated Ajax was able to take little more fire at the goal of the Germans, so that the audience could no longer see any goals. Just before time, Jay Enem hit the bar.

Ajax will stay in De Lutte until Sunday. On Sunday, the team from Amsterdam will play a practice match in Oldenzaal. SC Paderborn (kick-off 1 p.m.) is then the opponent.

Ajax setup: Stekelenburg; Klaiber, Magallan, Pierie, Boss; Reign, Fitz-Jim, Ünüvar; Ihattaren, Rasmussen, Hansen

Line-up Ajax second half: Gorter, Regeer (Banel/60), Ihattaren (Brandes/60), Salah-Eddine, Gooijer, Aertssen, Douglas, Enem, Warmerdam, Giovanni, Martha
