The book Pulmonary, by Eva Hermans-Kroot, who died of lung cancer at the end of last month, reached number one this week in the Bestseller 60 of the CPNB book association. The presentation of the book was brought forward so that the seriously ill Eva (26) could still experience it.

The woman from Tilburg has been sharing her stories and experiences about living with her illness on her social media channels for a long time. She later became known for her participation in the television program Over mijn corpse.

In the book she also talks about what it is like to live with lung cancer as a young woman. Her family and friends also have their say.

The place in the Bestseller 60 is not the only list with which the Tilburg native is being honored this week. Previously, a call for her favorite song Better Days by Dermot Kennedy to enter the Top 2000 was successful. The song can be heard on New Year’s Eve as number 6 in the list.

Farewell video
Shortly after her death, her last message was shared on Eva’s Instagram page. “Now that you hear this, I am no longer here. What I want to tell you is that you have to focus on the now. Not on later, that will all happen,” she says in the farewell video with a smile.
