On Thursday it already exceeded thirty degrees in our country in some places. In Westdorpe it became 30.7 and 30.0 degrees in Maastricht. This Friday it is tropically warm in many places. The warmest is now in Gilze-Rijen with 31.0 degrees. In Eindhoven it is 30.9 and 30.2 degrees in Maastricht.

That’s not all. Also on Saturday the temperature rises in many places to values between 28 and 32 degrees. The highest values are expected along the eastern border. In the coastal areas it is 25 to 27 degrees and in the west of Zeeland it is about 23 degrees. The weather regularly shows sun, but stacking clouds also pull over the country and in the second half of the afternoon these inland grow into rain and thunderstorms.
The early tropical day in De Bilt was noted on May 9, 1976. This is followed by 11 May 1998 and 22 May 1922. In 1949, we had to wait until after the summer on the first tropical day in De Bilt. Only on 5 September did the mercury rise to nearly 33 degrees.
