First home game newcomer VNS United ends in unnecessary defeat

In the first home game at the highest level, VNS United from Amsterdam-North lost. Groene Ster Vlissingen treated the team from Amsterdam to a 5-3 loss.

The team from Zeeland took the lead within two minutes and could not enjoy this for long. The damage was already destroyed in a minute, by the club that exists since 2016: 1-1. Groene Ster Vlissingen again took the lead, but again conceded the equalizing goal: 2-2. The team from Amsterdam put things in order before the break: 3-2.

Soon after the break, Vlissingen tied the score again, after which the victory was secured. As a result, VNS United remains without points after two matches. The first game was narrowly lost to Texel’94: 5-4.

Hovocubo lashes out

In the first home game of the new Eredivisie season, Hovocubo convincingly kept the three points in Zwaag. The West Frisians defeated Texel’94 6-1. Soon into the match, Iliass Bouzit broke the spell. Oualid Tarifit, who made his debut in the pre-selection of Orange this week, was responsible for the 2-0 with a header.

The goals followed at a faster pace in the second half. Amin Amghar was the third goalscorer of the evening before half-time. After the break, Mats Velseboer and Iliass Bouzit (2 times) were responsible for the other three hits. In between, Texel’94 managed to score an honorary goal, but the islanders didn’t get any further.

With this victory, the national champion still has the full loot. In two weeks, Hovocubo will try to extend the winning streak in Apeldoorn. Then they take on AGOVV.
