First for Greek track: first ATP final of his career in Pune

Tallon Greek track has qualified for the final of the ATP tournament in Pune. The tennis player from Nieuw-Vennep was too strong for the Russian Aslan Karatsev in the semi-final: 7-6 (4), 6-1. Amstelvener Botic van de Zandschulp fell in the semi-final.

Van de Zandschulp lost to the Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi: 6-7 (5), 7-6 (5), 1-6. Despite his defeat in the semi-final, the Amstelvener rises to 34th place in the world ranking, the Greek track is around 75th place.

If Greek track and Van de Zandschulp had made it to the final, it would have been in 1995 for the first time. At the time, Richard Krajicek (Muidenberg) and Paul Haarhuis faced each other in Rotterdam. Nieuw-Venneper Greek track will be in the final against Bonzi tomorrow at 13.00.
