THE HAGUE – Officers throughout the Netherlands were confronted with fireworks violence on New Year’s Eve. “Each unit has several to dozens of victims,” says Nine Kooiman, chairman of the Dutch Police Union. Communication system C2000 also suffered from a malfunction.
