Once again there were demonstrations in Loosdrecht against the yet-to-be opened emergency shelter for asylum seekers. A large group gathered at the town hall on Thursday evening.
The mayor issued an emergency order around 8:30 p.m. ‘because there are signals that groups are looking for a violent confrontation with the police’.
Dozens of young people and people from outside Loosdrecht had gathered in the North Holland town. After lighting some fireworks, most people left around 10:45 PM. The police and riot police did not have to intervene as they did earlier this week.
