A fire broke out in a care facility in Berlin-Wedding early Monday evening. One person suffered serious injuries.
The fire broke out around 6 p.m. in one of the rooms in a care facility on Edinburgher Strasse. Nursing staff were able to save one person from the room in time.
She suffered burns and severe smoke inhalation. The injured person had to be taken to a hospital by helicopter.
The fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire quickly and thus prevented it from spreading to other rooms. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
