At the shooting sports center Emmen in Emmer-Compascuum, a fire broke out in a sanctuary for bullets. The fire was difficult to reach for the fire brigade and therefore scaled up to a medium fire.
This means that additional fire brigade units have been called to get the fire under control. Corps from Emmen, Klazienaveen and Second Exloërmond fight fire. The fire was brought under control, after which it started. According to a spokesperson for the fire brigade, granulate was on fire, which makes extinguishing extra difficult. It is not clear how the fire could arise.
An ambulance was also on site at the shooting sports club to check someone. Whether this person also needs to go to the hospital is not known.
