Fire hits the roof of a house in Bussum, fire under control

On the Koekoeklaan in Bussum this morning around 6.00 am the flames came out of the roof of a house. The fire service says the fire is now under control.

The fire brigade was alerted around 5.50 am and went with several vehicles towards the Koekoeklaan. There they found a large fire in a detached corner house, next to the Redeemer Church. About 45 minutes later the fire was under control, but the house could not be saved and was completely burnt out. Just after 7:00 a.m., the fire was extinguished from outside.

A spokesperson for the Fire Department informs the NH reporter on site that no one was ultimately present in the house and that no one was injured in the fire. Because this was initially thought, the emergency services were fully deployed. In addition to the fire brigade, the police and ambulance were also present.

Nothing is yet known about the cause. The spokesperson does say that this was one of the larger fires on New Year’s Eve in the Gooi.
