After the fire in Haaren on Sunday evening, the police officers were finally able to return to Tilburg-Noord. But there was no question of resting for long. Less than half an hour later they received another call. This time not for fire, but for Shetland ponies walking on the cycle path in Haaren.
The Groene Beemden police shared on Instagram on Monday morning images of six shetland ponies walking on a cycle path. A video shows the animals walking through the snow while officers film them.
The plan was to return the ponies to the pasture after the filming. But the animals thought differently. Shortly afterwards they took off.
The owner of the ponies has not yet been found and the animals themselves are still missing. Police are asking anyone who knows who the Shetland ponies belong to or where they are to contact them.
