A house was damaged by fire in a fence fire in New Amsterdam this afternoon. Residents were able to extinguish the fire themselves.
The residents had already mastered the flames before the fire brigade arrived on Vaartweg. They were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the house. However, part of the facade of the house was blackened.
The fire brigade carried out another check after arrival. The cause of the fire is unknown.
