At Leutingewolde a man was missing this morning in the morning. It is a 20-year-old cyclist who cycled from Eelde to Leutingewolde around 5.00 am, but disappeared without a trace.
Via Burgernet was called to look for the man and the fire brigade was called in to help with the search. Because the man’s cycle route ran past the Ravanvaart, there was the fear that he might have been launched there.
The fire brigade came on the spot with a boat, divers and a tanker sprayer. While the firefighters raced the canal with sonar equipment, around 6.30 am the message was that the missing man was back. The search was then terminated.
Where the 20-year-old man finally found was not announced.
