Three pot-bellied pigs escaped into the fields on Monday afternoon between the Ypres sub-municipality of Zuidschote and Noordschote (sub-municipality of Lo-Reninge). So no classic pigs. Two piglets, but also an adult specimen. The animals walked not only through the fields but also in gardens.
No idea where they came from, but for Philip (56) and his colleagues, the three were not ‘pigs’ to handle without gloves. Because the pot-bellied pigs always managed to dash away just before the grasping hands of the firefighters. Until the fire brigade finally prevailed.
