The fire started around 4.30 am at the start -up of a machine at Miller Graphics, which produces flexplates. These are flexible printing plates that are used in the printing of, among other things, packaging and labels.
When the fire brigade arrived on the site along the Industrieweg, the flames already hit the roof. After a good hour they had the fire under control. Thanks to their rapid action, the damage was limited to the place around the affected machine. The entire building did fill with smoke, so that work is not being done today.
