The Italian Conference League participant AC Fiorentina has hit the transfer market again and signed the Czech international Antonin Barak. The 27-year-old attacking midfielder comes to Tuscany from Serie A rival Hellas Verona, initially on loan with a subsequent purchase obligation. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the transfer volume for Barak is up to 12 million euros, divided into rental fees (1.5 million), a fixed fee in the coming year (8.5 million) and bonuses (2 million).

With a market value of €20m, Barak is Hellas’ most valuable player, whose unprecedented bloodletting continues, especially on offense. The club from Veneto had previously loaned strikers Giovanni Simeone (27; Napoli) and Gianluca Caprari (29; Monza) within Italy with purchase obligations. The trio of Barak, Simeone and Caprari was responsible for 57 points in the strong previous season. The new Fiorentina professional scored eleven goals and four assists.
