Brazilian right-back Dodô will join ACF Fiorentina in Serie A. The traditional club presented the 23-year-old at the training camp on Friday, where he signed his contract before the start of a friendly against third division AC Trento.
Before the transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk can be officially and formally completed, the contract has to be submitted to the League Association. Recently it was said that Florence might have to give up a professional before that due to the non-EU player regulation in Italy. Only two players without an EU passport are allowed to join the squad per season in Italy. One of them is ex-Frankfurt Luka Jović (24) on the viola, and Erick Pulgar (28) has also returned from Galatasaray – but the Chilean is said to be moving on to Flamengo shortly, which would clear the way for the Brazilian.

Dodô is currently the most valuable player in Shakhtar’s squad with a market value of €20m. Fabrizio Romano recently estimated the transfer fee that Florence has to pay at 14 million euros. In addition to Jović, the Conference League participant has also signed Rolando Mandragora (25) and Pierluigi Gollini (27).
