Fiorentina-Lazio 0-3, Milinkovic’s goal, Immobile and Biraghi own goal

Sarri’s two stars strike in the second half. For Viola, Cabral’s debut is not enough. Torreira sent off

The post Vlahovic starts in the worst way for Fiorentina. The Italian team loses badly against a Lazio that is not Sarrian, but equally spectacular and above all effective. Within a few days, the Biancoceelsti thus pass from the opposition of the ultrà in Formello for missing purchases in the winter market to one of the most beautiful evenings of the season. Because a 3-0, such a large away win, against a top-ranked team, hadn’t come this year yet. Wide and also deserved victory. Sarri’s team let the home team vent in the initial part of the match and then take control of the game around half an hour thanks to a mobile 4-3-3 capable of varying the score according to the needs of the match. Unlike that of the home team which, deprived of its attacking terminal passed to Juve, cannot find alternative ways.

chances but no goals

The first half ends 0-0, but emotions are not lacking. Far from it. After a mutual study phase that lasts about a quarter of an hour, the two teams place themselves in the center of the ring and try to give them to each other. Fiorentina does so with a very high pressure that allows them to forcefully preside over the opposing half of the pitch. Lazio are thus forced to stay low and respond with a very little Sarrian weapon: the counterattack, favored by the high center of gravity of the Viola. In the central phase of the first fraction, however, the score of the hosts prevails. Which prevent Lazio from thinking and go close to scoring on three occasions. With a header from the new acquisition Cabral (at his absolute debut), which is rejected by Strakosha, then with an insidious shot by Bonaventura that comes out a little and finally with a missile from Torreira’s distance that goes a little high. But in the final quarter of an hour it is the Roman team that takes the stage with its deadly restarts. Terracciano surpasses himself and denies the goal first to Immobile and then twice to Pedro. On the first occasion of the Spaniard, the rejected ends up on the feet of Zaccagni who shoots incredibly high. Lazio still dangerous then with Milinkovic whose shot-cross would end up on Immobile’s feet for a comfortable tap-in if it were not for the providential intervention of Milenkovic. So we go to the break at 0-0.

The second half begins along the same lines as the final part of the first half. With Lazio much more lucid than Fiorentina in seizing the right moments to free the man in front of the goal. Milinkovic thus finds himself twice alone in front of Terracciano in the space of a few minutes. On the first occasion (primed by Luis Alberto) the Serbian grace the Viola goalkeeper with a lopsided header that ends out. But on the second chance, at 7 ‘, he doesn’t forgive. Assist from Zaccagni’s winger and Sergeant’s surgical platter. Bet on pride, Viola tries to restart. Italian tries to rekindle it with the changes. Inside Castrovilli and Nico Gonzalez, outside Duncan and Callejon. Sarri responds by removing the tired Leiva and Pedro to insert Cataldi and Felipe Anderson. Then he calls Lazzari back to the bench and puts Hysaj in. The hosts threw themselves into the boarding and the opportunity they are looking for to return to the game seems to be looming in the 20 ‘. The contact between Luiz Felipe and Castrovilli just inside the Lazio area is judged by a penalty by the referee Orsato who indicates the spot. The Var, however, recalls the race director who, after reviewing the action on the monitor, corrects himself. In fact it is the purple player who hits the Lazio player, the foul is not there. A few minutes pass and Lazio doubles with the most classic counterattack. Strakosha puts in the game for Patric who immediately launches towards the half of the field, where Nastasic punches the intervention and allows Immobile to fly away all alone towards Terracciano’s goal: the attacker’s shot leaves no way out and is 2-0. Italian also throws in Ikone and Piatek (Bonaventura and Cabral come out), while Sarri takes away Luis Alberto for the entry of Basic. Fiorentina tries, but Lazio still hit on the counterattack. Close exchange in midfield between Zaccagni and Immobile, the center-forward tries to replicate the previous action, but this time Terracciano comes out well and forces him to widen: on his cross-shot Biraghi in an attempt to sweep he scores an own goal. At that point Viola also loses her head, Torreira pays the price and is sent off for a double yellow card. With the extra man Lazio could further spread, but Basic wasted the ball of 4-0.
