As we said earlier, by far the most important makeup product for many Finns is precisely mascara.
We asked Iltalehti readers to name their most important criteria for eyelashes. A total of 1282 of our readers answered the survey.

Eyelashes (about 22 percent) were most expected to have a lengthening effect. The second most desired effect was volume on the eyelashes, which was desired by about 20 percent of the respondents. The third most important feature was the water resistance of the mascara, which was the most important criterion for about nine percent of the respondents.
In addition, many hoped that the eyelashes would be curved, not clumping, and that the eyelashes would not cause allergies or sensitize the eyes.
