Krista Tervo threw a hammer to 74.40 in Portugal. This is a new Finnish record.
The previous SE was Silja Kososen thrown last year at 73.43. Tervo’s previous own record was 72.92, which now improved by one and a half meters.
– In training, the throws have gone really well. I was already expecting tough results from the European Cup of Throwing last Sunday, but maybe those expectations led to the failure of that race, Tervo commented in a SUL press release.
Tervo knew a bit about the hard result.
– Now I had a secret wish that it could fly that far. There was a little disbelief, but now it came on the final throw of the race when I got under many good throws.
