A few years ago Olle Dahl I thought he had achieved everything possible by winning World Sweet-Hot in the Sweet-Hot series, but he was wrong.
This year at the United States in Wisconsin World Wide Mustard Competition In the competition, Dahlin Julsenap first won the Sweet-Hot series. After that, all gold medalists in the competition still competed for the Grand Champion title.
Dahl laughs on the phone that the victory came from there too. Josnap is the biggest winner, the Grand Champion of the competition.
– During the first year of the race 2023, I thought I was just lucky. I sent a mustard to the competition the following year when I got silver. I realized it was probably pretty good. This year I decided to send my second product because it has been much praised, Dahl tells Iltalehti.

Dahl’s mustard hobby began in 2020, when he attended a mustard course donated by his wife. The hobby quickly turned into a business on Kökar Island, which is now taking a step towards a wider activity.
“With this win, I’m going to get new and bigger machines so we can make more mustard,” says Dahl.
Dahl is coming to the Helsinki Herring Market on Sunday.
So far, his products can be purchased at the old market hall in Helsinki, Max fish in Espoo and a few K-stores in the Helsinki metropolitan area.

What competition?
Since 1995, the world’s best mustard in the United States in Wisconsin has been awarded.
12 jars should be sent to the competition for each competition buttons.
The registration fee is $ 35 if the shipment comes from outside the United States.
All funds obtained from the registration fees go to the non -profit National Mustard Museum.
Each tasting category assesses the quality of the mustard, category, overall taste and appearance.
Mustard is tasted blind, so the judges do not know the brand of mustard.
The judges include chefs, food writers and food professionals.
In each category, the top three mustard will be rewarded with a gold, silver and bronze medal.
Gold medalists for each tasting category compete for the Grand Champion Award.
