After eight years full of procedures, Mayor Michaël Vannieuwenhuyze himself put the crane in the old primary school of Bavikhove.
“We have added the deed to the word and we can now finally start with the works that De Bavikhovenaar has been looking forward for a long time,” he says.
Now the club life is still spread over the municipality, but in a year and a half everyone must be given a place in the new leisure center.
Mayor Michaël Vannieuwenhuyze: “Actually it will be a meeting site. So there will be a meeting center where our different associations can get a place. There will also be a judo room in that room. And we also go to our sports hall itself, the toilets and changing rooms, so that the combination of sport, youth and culture can all be here.”
