Finally another three-pointer for KVO

Finally another three-pointer for KVO

On the coast, both the home team Ostend and the visitors from Eupen missed a great opportunity to open the score in the first twenty minutes of the game. First Nick Bätzner decided on Eupen’s goalkeeper Lennart Moser. Not much later, Regan Charles-Cook made a huge miss in front of Ostend’s goal. Just after half an hour the ball did end up against the nets, but the VAR disallowed Ostend’s goal for offside.

Score, and hold on with ten

In the second half, Bätzner corrected his mistake. Fraser Hornby initially aimed the cross from winger Alessandro Albanese at goalkeeper Moser, but his attempt was still processed in the rebound in the Eupense goal by the well-followed Bätzner (51st min). Six minutes later, Ostend had to further defend its lead with tens. Albanese pulled out with a schwalbe and received his second yellow card of the evening. Despite the predominance in numbers, Eupen was no longer able to hang the signs evenly. KV Oostende adds three points and is in twelfth place with nine points. Eupen is fifteenth with 6 points.
