The World Darts Championship at Ally Pally ended with Luke Littler winning the title. Millions of fans watched on television – they gave Sport 1 top ratings.

Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen drew numerous darts fans to the television on Friday evening. The World Cup final at Ally Pally and Littler’s impressive victory were seen by 2.19 million people on Sport 1. A historic rating for the TV station.

In addition, the finale in London achieved a market share of 23.3 percent with an average of 1.24 million people aged 14 to 49 as of 9:07 p.m. Last year there were 1.91 million viewers who watched the final between Littler and Luke Humphries.

Interest in the sport and the final participants grew even more. At 17, Littler is also the youngest world champion ever. He also received a lot of praise and recognition for this. For example, darts icon Phil Taylor, who became world champion 16 times in his career, wrote on the X platform: “What a fantastic achievement, huge congratulations.”
