Basketball FIBA Women’s Europa League Final 6 will start with the quarter-final matches to be played on April 15. The organization, where the number one player in women’s basketball at the club level in Europe will be determined, will be held in Zaragoza, Spain, between 15-19 April.
Turkish representatives Fenerbahçe Opet and Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring gained the right to advance to the semi-finals by outperforming their opponents in the play-in round. The yellow-dark blue team will face off against the winner of the Spar Girona (Spain)-Umana Reyer (Italy) match, while the yellow-red team will face off against the winner of the Basket Landes (France)-Casademont Zaragoza (Spain) match in the semi-finals.

The quarter-final matches of the tournament, which will be hosted by Pabellon Principe Felipe Hall in Zaragoza, will be played on Wednesday, April 15.
In the organization, on April 15, Spar Girona and Umana Reyer will face each other at 18.30 TSI, and Basket Landes and Casademont Zaragoza will face each other at 21.30 TSI.

The yellow-dark blue team won two championships in the FIBA Women’s Europa League, where it played in the finals 6 times. Fenerbahçe Opet, which made its name in the final stage of the organization for the 12th time in total, achieved its first championship in the 2022-2023 season.

The organization, which is the number one cup of women’s basketball at the club level, started for the first time in the 1958-1959 season under the name of the Champion Clubs Cup. The name of the tournament was changed to FIBA Europa League from 1996.
In the final of the organization held in 1959, the Bulgarian representative Slavia Sofia won the first championship cup by defeating the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) team Dynamo Moscow both at home and away.
DAUGAVA RIGA HOLDS THE RECORD WITH 18 CHAMPIONSHIPS
In the organization held for the 67th time this season, Daugava Riga, one of the teams from the USSR era, holds a record that is difficult to break. The Latvian representative won the cup 18 times in total, 12 of which were in a row, under the USSR flag during the years organized under the name of the Champion Clubs’ Cup.
After Daugava Riga, the Russian representative UMMC Ekaterinburg won the most championships in the organization, taking the cup to its museum 6 times in total. Galatasaray became champions in this tournament in 2014, and Fenerbahçe became champions in 2023 and 2024.
The 2019-2020 season in the FIBA Women’s Europa League was canceled due to the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.
