Killer comedian turned out to be under arrest. Especially for our program, Krasnodar investigators revealed the details of the high-profile case of a Tiktoker with a gun. On the Internet, he was known as the author of sensational videos, but in reality it turned out that he was an alleged robber who shot a man.
The famous Krasnodar blogger Alexei Shchetinin is used to being seen by fans in social networks in different images: crawling out of a snowdrift with a barbecue, sitting with milk on his face, even swimming in a puddle.
But it is unlikely that any of the subscribers expected to see a blogger in a state-owned entourage. A comedian in a cramped cell in a temporary detention center, his hands are handcuffed to the bars. He no longer radiates the former fun. The social media star is accused of murder and a series of robbery attacks on houses and shops. We are recording an interview with Alexei Shchetinin in the temporary detention center of the Anapa Department of Internal Affairs. He begins his conversation with general philosophical phrases. Apparently, now he is not laughing at all.
Why did you go to crime?
You never plan for it. Anyone can become a criminal, get into an accident and become a criminal, kill a person. So no one is immune from this.
– That is, it was spontaneous for you?
Everything is always spontaneous.
– Do you specifically?
– Well, yes, maybe.
Shchetinin disguised himself so cleverly during his criminal raids that the police could not immediately identify him.
Footage from surveillance cameras installed in one of the stores: presumably, Shchetinin with a flashlight in his hands. The face is hidden by a mask and a hood. Judging by the video, the raider is experienced and acts quickly. He deftly breaks into the cash register and takes all the cash. This, according to investigators, is also Shchetinin – in one of the private houses he is looking for something to profit from. Carefully enters the living room, looks around. Quickly opens the sideboard drawers and seems to find money and jewelry. During one of these raids in December 2020, a robber blogger found the owner in the house.
According to the investigation, the Tiktoker secretly made his way into this house in the village of Akhtanizovskaya. He stole jewelry and money, shot several times at the owner of the house.
Six shots at point-blank range, the victim had no chance.
The crime was committed in a residential building. During the inspection at the scene, traces of shoes and shell casings were found. Shchetinin has already confessed to this crime.
– Have you looked after this house in any way? Did you understand if there was a person there or not?
No, there was no person there.
– So you looked out? You followed, didn’t you?
– No, I just looked, there was no person there, that’s all.
– And then you went into the room, the owner came out …
– Yes
– And what did you say?
– So that he lies down and does not move.
– And he?

– It worked.
– What worked?
– It turned out what happened.
– What happened?
– Murder. Shot several times.
– How did you get into this house?
– Through the open door.
– You were not embarrassed that the door is open and there are probably people there?
– Yes, you never know, the man forgot to close.
Investigators believe that Shchetinin carefully chose the places for the attacks. Evaluated by appearance: if the house is solid, then the owners live in abundance. As follows from the materials of the criminal case, the 44-year-old blogger-humorist did not officially work anywhere and hunted for a fun life by theft and robbery.
The investigators did painstaking work, interrogated dozens of witnesses and conducted important examinations.
“Pawnshops in the Krasnodar Territory began to be checked. Stolen jewelry was handed over to one of them. The family of the accused Shchetinin was identified and searches were immediately carried out at the places of residence. Thanks to the investigative actions and forensic examinations, the genotype of the accused who committed this crime was established, which coincided with the genotype of Shchetinin,” said Inver Kunov, an investigator for especially important cases of the first department for investigating especially important cases of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the Krasnodar Territory.
When Shchetinin realized that he had fallen under suspicion, he immediately went on the run. The blogger was put on the federal and then on the international wanted list. Shchetinin was detained due to a set of measures carried out by criminal investigation officers from Anapa and Krasnodar. Law enforcement officers bit by bit collected information, sat in ambush and combed the territory. It turned out that the alleged robber changed his appearance and was nearby. He was detained in one of the baths in Krasnodar. He did not have time to take a steam bath – handcuffs snapped on his wrists.
– Why was he detained?
– Suspicion.
– Murder?
– I do not know
– Do you know what you are looking for?
– I know.
In an interview with our film crew, Shchetinin never admitted where he had been hiding all this time, but he assured that he had not seen his relatives for several months.
– And why did they go to this bathhouse in Krasnodar? You are wanted.
– And why not go to the bathhouse, not take a good steam there? I have nothing to say. The only thing I want to say: I repent, but it happened. Everyone goes further in life on their own.
We visited the village where Shchetinin lived. Judging by the situation, the blogger-humorist had no time for economic affairs: the fence was not completed, there was not even a gate, there were rickety buildings on the territory.
Tiktoker lived in a small Krasnodar village. His house is located a few meters from the sea. According to the investigation, Shchetinin led a double life for several years: during the day he shot funny videos, at night he robbed and killed.
The neighbors still cannot believe that the kind and funny Shchetinin can be a thief and a murderer.
The Shchetinins have a whole family of bloggers. Everyone has their own social media channel. Even the mother-in-law appeared in the field of youth entertainment.
As it turned out, the son-in-law has not been loved for a long time. Relatives do not communicate for almost two years. According to rumors, they quarreled over content on social networks. Shchetinin’s wife also maintains her own blog. Immediately after the arrest of her husband, she moved out of the common house. We found Anastasia in another village. She came out to our film crew in sunglasses and freshly styled. Dressed inappropriately for the weather. Obviously getting ready to shoot. We asked questions about the husband, and the lady was worried only about herself.
– I now have 10 chins there. Can you make me have a thin face?
– You radiate optimism, and the husband is arrested.
– Lech always taught me that way. Everything will be fine.
Anastasia Shchetinina admits: they lived together for 14 years, and she never suspected her husband of crimes. According to her, Alexei worked part-time at a construction site, the family always lived in abundance.
– What did your husband say when he brought jewelry money?
– He didn’t bring it. He worked as a foreman at a construction site, he had his own team. They built houses from scratch. I would think now, but he didn’t lie, he showed me a video before and after repairs.
After a short conversation, Anastasia admitted: she guessed that her husband would be detained. That’s what the cards told her. And they, the blogger Shchetinina is sure, do not lie.
– I was mentally prepared. I’m guessing. For many years.
– And you somehow laid out your fate?
– I don’t have mine, Lehi. When we lived together, I trusted him and never made a deal.
– Well, were there any signs in the cards?
– I will say this: he is not a saint.
Aleksey Shchetinin also confessed to another crime – an attack on policemen. In April last year, in the suburbs of Anapa, he was stopped by law enforcement officers to check his documents. Shchetinin shot the law enforcement officers several times in the legs and fled. We asked him: why, being a successful blogger, did he commit crimes? Shchetinin chose his words for a long time.
– It so happened, there is no comment at all on this matter.
– Did you even understand that sooner or later you would be detained?
– Well, yes. Different situations happen, in stress a person reacts differently.
Investigators determined that in both cases, Shchetinin fired from live firearms. Now they are figuring out where the blogger got the gun from. By decision of the court, Alexei Shchetinin was sent to a pre-trial detention center. The lover of public life is now likely to remain alone for a long time. So far, there are only two episodes in the criminal case, but investigators believe that the joker blogger may be involved in thirty attacks.
