A young man was injured in the head in a fight at a butcher’s shop in East tonight. The man was in the store with a woman and intervened with a man who may have been stealing something.
The incident took place around 6:30 p.m. In the store, the woman accused a man of stealing. The woman was with a young man who stood up for her. This resulted in a fight, which left the young man with a head injury.
A spokesman for the police said it was not clear whether the victim was stabbed or hit with a hard object. It is also not known whether the young man and woman were working in the store or whether they were customers.
Emergency services arrived on the scene. The victim is being treated in an ambulance at the butcher’s shop and it is being considered whether he should be taken to hospital. The man has been arrested by police.
