A fire broke out on the grounds of the mental health center Landgoed De Grote Beek in Eindhoven on Saturday evening. A greenhouse, which is used for activities and daytime activities, was destroyed. “We were quite shocked,” says GGzE spokesperson Reginald Snijder.
The fire broke out around half past seven in a glass greenhouse on the grounds of the health center. People who are at a distance from the labor market are offered daytime activities. All kinds of activities and events are organized in the greenhouse.
“This is extremely annoying,” says Snijder. “It is a very beautiful location. The building is used for daytime activities and many people enjoy that.”
The fire brigade responded to the Dr. with two fire engines and an aerial platform. Poletlaan. Because many materials were stored in the greenhouse, extinguishing the fire took some time. It is not clear what caused the fire, but the damage is extensive. “We still have to see what the consequences are, but we probably won’t be able to use the greenhouse for a while.”
No one was present when the fire broke out. As far as the spokesperson knows, there were no activities on Saturday either.
