The Fielmann Group ordered Peter Lothes to be a member of the board with effect from March 1, 2025. Lothes has been responsible for production and logistics worldwide as a Chief Operation Officer (COO) since September 2023 and will also continue this task in its new function.
As a COO of the Fielmann Group, which offers glasses, contact lenses and hearing aids in more than 1,200 branches, Lothes leads an international network with nine production locations to three continents. Peter Lothes has more than thirty years of international industry expertise. He started his career in 1992 as a Vice President of Manufacturing in the optics company of his family in Ohio (USA), which was sold to essilor in 2004. After stations in leadership positions at Satisloh (the world’s largest provider of eye -optical production machines based in Switzerland) and Essilor North America, Lothes 2022 switched to Advancing Eyecare, the leading optical device supplier in the USA.

The family business, founded in 1972, is run by Marc Fielmann, who represents the second generation of the Fielmann family, which still has the majority of the company shares.
