Fiancee receives medal for dead ice hockey national players

The Eisbären Berlin got the championship in a furious way. An emotional moment followed the triumph.
With 5: 1, 1: 2 (according to OT), 7: 0, 7: 0 and 7: 0, the Eisbären Berlin had perhaps achieved the most dominant championship in their club history. The ice hockey club from the capital hardly gave the Cologne sharks a chance and celebrated the title on Friday evening in the local Uber Arena.
The polar bears also won the trophy for their teammate Tobias Eder, who died from the consequences of cancer at the end of January. Marcel Noebels said after the game: “We all know: Tobi will be with us forever. He is part of the family, part of this team, part of the reason why we won. I really believe that we got the title for Tobi – for his family, who was here today, for his brother, his mother, his father.”
“We were incredible,” said coach Serge Aubin, after his team had won the final series against the Cologne sharks in a row with the third 7-0 victory. “But no matter who we would play against – it was clear to me that we can do it. We overcome so many resistance this season.” With the final siren, the fans also unroll a banner in honor of the player.
Loud “Tobi Eder” speakers echoed through the arena. Eder’s parents, his brother and his fiancee Ina were there on Friday evening when the polar bears became champions in Berlin. After the game there was also an emotional moment on the ice when Ina received the medal for winning the title in a jersey of her deceased lover and with the other players.
Serge Aubin hardly came out of his team. “It is surprising what attitude in this team is. You never stop, you want more and more.
