Feyenoord escapes unscathed: Calvin Stengs’ injury isn’t too bad | Dutch football

Calvin Stengs only needs a few weeks to recover from his knee injury. The left foot had to fear a serious injury after a serious tackle in the semi-final of the cup against FC Groningen, but according to Feyenoord he will soon be back.

The Rotterdammers have announced that Stengs will not be available for several weeks. The midfielder is expected back after the upcoming international break at the end of this month. Then Feyenoord plays against FC Utrecht. The Rotterdam team therefore only seems to have to miss him against Heracles and Heerenveen. Stengs was not included in the pre-selection of the Dutch national team due to his knee injury.

Stengs went in the final phase of the match against FC Groningen to the ground after a hard tackle by Marvin Peersman. The Feyenoord player had to leave the field on a stretcher, but research has shown that the damage is not too bad.

The 25-year-old midfielder, who made his return to the Dutch national team this year, is of great value to the Dutch national team this season. Since last summer he has played 34 games, scoring seven goals and providing fourteen assists.
