Shortly before the start in Spielberg there is a surprising failure at Ferrari. Team boss Frédéric Vasseur left the paddock.
Ferrari made a short-term change in the team management just a few hours before the Formula 1 race in Austria. As the Scuderia announced on Sunday, Frédéric Vasseur is no longer on site and has started their return to his homeland for personal reasons.
Instead of the Frenchman, his deputy Jérôme d’Ambrosio takes responsibility on the way. The former Formula 1 driver will represent the team at the Grand Prix in Styria.
Vasseurs’ absence comes at a tense time for Ferrari. Despite the commitment of Lewis Hamilton, the team is still in sporting behind. The racing team is only third in the design classification. Neither Hamilton nor his team -mate Charles Leclerc have won a race in 2025. Therefore, Vasseur is also heavily criticized.
