Charles comments on Ferrari’s first seasonal podium in the long race: “I made the most of the maximum, now we must continue to push. Perfect team: the pit-stop was impressive”
“Now we have to continue to push.” It is very clear about his goals for the next races of the season Charles Leclerc who, in Gedda, conquered the first podium of the season with Ferrari but who, of a third place in the fifth appointment of 2025, cannot and does not want to settle: “Today I am happy because before the race I thought I had to defend myself from who was behind me, especially from Kimi Antonelli with Mercedes”. Instead, the Monegasco was able to look ahead, passing from the fourth position on the starting grid at the podium conquered in the race behind the winner Oscar Plastri and Max Verstappen, thanks to a perfect tire management and the best rhythm – found on his SF -25 – seen from the beginning of the championship to date: “I am very happy with my race – said Leclerc at the end of the GP of Gp – I have done the maximum I was able to improve, Qualification but the team, both at the wall and in the box, was perfect: they are doing really impressed pit-stops “.
Steps forward
–
At the end of a complicated hat -trick for the whole team of Maranello il Monegasco greets Saudi Arabia with a smile, waiting to be able to see other positive forward steps over the next weekend of the race: “We miss a little performance, but there are many things in this weekend to be happy, it was for a while I did not feel so well at the helm of the car and I understand how to unlock.” In two weeks Formula 1 will return to the track in Miami and then it will be the turn of Imola, where the updates for the SF-25 will arrive, as anticipated by the Team Principal Fred Vasseur.
Updates
–
Leclerc also spoke of developments at the end of the race, hoping for a step forward to resume the gap created at the start of the championship with the opponents: “I hope the updates will come soon to improve the single -seater. Before the Spanish Grand Prix, however, I think it will be difficult to fill the gap with the opponents. We will have to see there what happens with the new wings and after that weekend we will actually be able to see how we are”. However, the number 16 of Ferrari does not give up, who, in his seventh year in red, continues to believe in the potential of his team in the dream of winning a world championship with them. A title that Leclerc reiterates, this year is still perfectly at stake for them. Especially after the joy of the first podium conquered in Gedda.
