Ferrari announces a decision about team boss

For a long time it was speculated by Ferrari team boss Frédéric Vasseur for a long time. Now there is a decision.
Ferrari creates clarity in his top position: the Formula 1 racing team extends the contract with team boss Frédéric Vasseur. The agreement with the French applies to several years. The Scuderia announced that shortly before the Grand Prix of Hungary.
Vasseur has been head of the traditional racing team since the beginning of 2023. Since then, he had created a solid basis for leading Ferrari back to the top of Formula 1, it was said by the team. The contract extension is a sign of trust and expression of conviction in the strategic orientation under his leadership.
So far, Ferrari has remained without victory in the current season. The commitment of record world champion Lewis Hamilton, who caused a sensation at the beginning of the year, did not bring any turn. Ferrari has been waiting for a title in the driver’s ranking since 2007. Most recently, speculation about a possible farewell Vasseurs – they are off the table with the contract extension.
Ferrari emphasized that they wanted to build on the foundation that Vasseur had laid. “The trust that we put in him shows the confidence of the team for his strategic direction,” said the racing team. Vasseur himself said: “We know what is expected. We all feel obliged to meet these expectations and to take the next steps together.”
Vasseur is considered an experienced motorsport engineer. In his career, he promoted Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg and Nico Hülkenberg in the youth area. In Formula 1 he worked for Renault before he became a team manager at Sauber.
