Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton in arguments again?

Alonso already apologized, but Hamilton struck one more time.

The Mexican GP weekend also had drama behind the scenes in F1.

Fernando Alonso beamed in an interview with the Dutch De Telegraaf Max Verstappen.

– Max’s world championships are more significant than Lewis Hamilton. I respect Lewis a lot, but in seven world championship seasons he had to compete only against his teammate, Alonso said.

Verstappen has now managed to grab the drivers’ World Championship title from Hamilton’s nose for two seasons in a row. The Spanish hero therefore valued it higher.

Hamilton’s reign has even been considered a bit boring, so superior were Mercedes and the British driver.

However, the two-time champion Alonso had to correct his words afterwards.

– All championships are incredibly great and valuable. They cannot be compared and valued. Let’s be happy for the legends and the current champion. I’m tired of being scandalous, Alonso tweeted on Saturday.

Even after the correction, Hamilton decided to pass. He posted a picture of himself standing on the highest podium and Alonso on the second. There was only a thumbs up emoji in the text field.

The picture garnered a lot of reactions, and several people defending Hamilton gathered under the tweet to comment.

– Hamilton owns Fernando, one said with amusement at the picture.

A rift has built up between the two over the years. Hamilton and Alonso have themselves contributed to it with their pitfalls.

Hamilton arrived in the F1 series in the 2007 season. The team manager was Alonso, and the season was not without clashes and arguments.
