Fenerbahçe Safiport faced Latvia’s TTT Riga team in the first match of the FIBA Europa League quarter-finals. The yellow-dark blue team, which was ahead 19-13 in the first quarter of the match played in the Metro Energy Hall, went to the locker room with a 36-27 superiority.
At the end of the third quarter, the home team increased the lead to 17 points (58-41) and left the hall with a 77-56 win.
Fenerbahce Safiport’s McBride with 18 points and Sabally with 17 points became the top scorers of their teams.
The teams that will achieve two wins in the quarter-finals will have their names written in the Final Four.
All matches in the match will be held in Istanbul. The second match of the series will be played on Thursday, March 10, and if necessary, the third match will be played on Wednesday, March 16, again at the Metro Energy Hall.
