Due to the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, which are described as the “disaster of the century”, Fenerbahçe Opet faced its opponent in the last match of the group, in the capital of Germany, Berlin.
Fenerbahce Opet, who won the match played at Max-Schmeling-Halle Berlin 3-0 with 25-22, 25-16 and 28-26 hard scores, finished second in their group and made their mark on the play-off stage.
Before the match, a minute’s silence was held due to the earthquake disaster in Turkey, while the volleyball players went out on the field wearing black ribbons. Fenerbahce Opet players, “Our pain is endless, condolences to our Turkey!” unfolded banner.
