In the first match of the ING Basketball Super League play-off final series, Fenerbahçe Beko defeated Anadolu Efes 85-76 on the field and took a 1-0 lead in the series.
Fenerbahce Beko, who started the match fast and forced his opponent to lose turnovers with his pressured game, took the lead 5-0 with the baskets of Tarık Biberovic and Vesely. The visiting team, which went to the time-out, dominated the game with the points of Buğrahan Tuncer and Singleton on the return, and got the 11-7 advantage. Anadolu Efes finished the first quarter with an 18-18 draw in the last 36 seconds, leading 20-18 with Dunston’s field goal.
At the beginning of the second quarter, the yellow-dark blue team, which caught the series with De Colo and Metecan Birsen, once again took the lead: 24-20. With its effective defense, the home team, who gave their opponent only two points until the 15th minute, increased the gap to 7 points (29-22). Anadolu Efes scored 7 points with Larkin, Singleton and Bryant in the last two minutes, with Fenerbahçe Beko’s superiority 37-30. While the score was balanced, both teams went to the locker room 37-37.
Fenerbahce was ahead 47-41 in the 25th minute with the effective play of Beko, Vesely and Henry. Responding to Beabois’s three-pointer with Booker and increasing the lead by 10 points (59-49) in the 28th minute, the yellow-dark blue team entered the last quarter with a score of 59-53.
Fenerbahce Beko, who got the enthusiastic support of the audience and increased the gap to 11 points (72-61) in the 34th minute, completely dominated the game in the remaining section and won the hall 85-76.
