Fenerbahçe Basketball Museum is open! – Breaking Fenerbahce news

Fenerbahçe Basketball Museum opened in the Ülker Sports and Event Hall in Ataşehir, which belongs to the yellow-dark blue club.

Fenerbahçe Basketball Museum, where Fenerbahçe’s championship trophies and athlete’s jerseys are exhibited, was first shown to members of the press.

ALİ KOÇ: FENERBAHÇE HAS A BASKETBALL HISTORY OF ALMOST 110 YEARS

Fenerbahçe Club President Ali Koç thanked İmamoğlu for not leaving them alone and all those who contributed to the opening of the museum, saying, “Fenerbahce, Turkey’s largest sports club, has a history of basketball of almost 110 years, continuing from 1913 to the present. “The idea of a basketball museum full of achievements was put forward to leave it to future generations. Very valuable athletes who have become icons in our community for 100 years wore our uniform, very valuable coaches left their mark on history. In fact, they created Fenerbahçe’s basketball culture with their success and historical stance.” he said.

Ali Koç stated that the most successful periods in basketball began in the 2000s and that these successes were crowned with the European League championship, and said:

“Women’s basketball has the same situation as in football. It has official championships. When you combine them all, there are 19 championships. But officially, from 1998-1999 until today, it has been the champion of the Turkish league in 16 of 24 years. We played in the finals of the European League 4 times. “We suffered a lot during my five-year presidency. The most painful thing was to give the trophy to a team in our own field, which we beat many times in this hall. I hope a team was formed to make up for it this year. One of my biggest dreams was to open branches for the disabled, and we realized that.”

GREAT THANKS TO AZIZ YILDIRIM

Talking about the successes of Fenerbahçe Basketball Branch, Koç said, “With its men’s, women’s basketball and now wheelchair basketball branches, Fenerbahçe has reached a position that can be pointed out as one of the best on the European basketball map for both women and men, it has become one of the best and the locomotive of our country. Other clubs too. He started investing, like they invested in the halls. The hall that Fenerbahçe built with his own effort, sweat and money without any help from the state became a precedent, modern halls were formed. I hope the museum will create the same multiplier effect.” made its assessment.

Koç also thanked Aziz Yıldırım, the former president of the yellow-dark blue club, and used the following statements:

“The biggest thank you is to our president, Aziz Yıldırım, who changed Fenerbahçe’s basketball vision from top to bottom, turned it into a locomotive, made it the most successful club in both men and women, worked with all his might to bring our magnificent hall to our club, and said ‘Keep going guys’ even in those troubled days. I present it on behalf of myself, the board of directors, and I believe every Fenerbahçe member. We are grateful to him. In fact, Fenerbahçe’s wealth and contributions are not diminished, people like Mr. Murat Ülker and Hamdi Akın. In fact, from 7 to 70, whatever he does, education Regardless of their level, the approach and generosity of Fenerbahce are the greatest wealth of Fenerbahce, and I hope this will continue forever.”

“WHEN WE LOOK UP, BUSINESS GOES ELSEWHERE WISELY”

Ali Koç also thanked Serbian head coach Zeljko Obradovic, who won the club’s first Europa League championship, and Sertaç Komsuoğlu, the member of the board of directors, who contributed to the opening of the museum, and ended his words as follows:

“I hope good things will happen this season. We have seen in the last two weeks that we have potential and that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Whenever we raise our heads, for some reason, things go elsewhere. Our biggest goal in this 100th year is in every branch as much as possible, to win championships in every field. I hope this dream of mine will come true with valuable work. As Mr. İmamoğlu said, you can see the stance of this community when it comes to the Republic of Turkey. May you rest in peace if you want to protect the legacy that the Great Leader Atatürk left us. We have a Fenerbahçe. This stance of Fenerbahçe will always continue. In these days when we experience the excitement and belonging of the 100th year most intensely, as Fenerbahçe, with our today, our tomorrow, I would like to emphasize once again that we are the lighthouse of the Republic, in the footsteps of our Father, with all our values. I invite you all to the parade of the Lantern procession, which we will organize on t Street and share the details later.”

Murat Ülker said, “Today we are at home here and we are very happy. My dreams come true one by one, and this museum was one of them.” he said.

TBF Deputy Chairman Ömer Onan also said, “We have achieved material and moral gains from this club. Great efforts have been made and gains have been made. But today you have given a very important gift to all professionals who have taken part in this club and have worked hard, Mr. President. You have immortalized us with this museum opening. 30 years from now, the names of the professionals who played in the jersey will always be in the eyes of the fans.” used the phrases.

After the speeches, the chairman Ali Koç presented a plaque of appreciation to Pelin Akın Özalp, daughter of Murat Ülker and Hamdi Akın. The attendees toured the museum after the ribbon cutting.
