Fenerbahce Beko Men’s Basketball Team announced that it has recruited US-born Greek playmaker Tyler Dorsey.


According to the statement made by the yellow-dark blue club, the 27-year-old basketball player will wear Fenerbahçe Beko jersey until the end of the 2024-2025 season.


Tyler Dorsey, who was born in the USA and plays for the Greek National Team, was included in the squad by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2017 NBA summer drafts.


The 1.96-meter-tall basketball player, who played for the Atlanta Hawks for 2 years and played 56 games, signed with Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2019.


Tyler Dorsey, who transferred to Greece’s Olympiakos team in the 2021-2022 season, then reached an agreement with NBA teams Dallas Mavericks at the beginning of this season.


The 27-year-old player, who played in 3 games in the NBA this season, was released in December.

WHO IS TYLER DORSEY?
Born on February 18, 1996 in Pasadena, California, and also holds American citizenship, Tyler Dorsey continued his basketball career with the Oregon Ducks in the NCAA after graduating from Maranatha in high school.

Making his debut with Oregon in 2015-16, Dorsey played in 36 games and scored 13.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists. The successful scorer averaged 14.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 39 games in his second year.

Dorsey, who participated in the NBA draft in the summer of 2017, was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the 2nd round 41st pick. Tyler Dorsey signed a two-year contract with the Atlanta Hawks that same summer.
