Female billionaires are on the rise: Italy in fourth place

Nonot alone female billionaires are increasing in the worldbut Italy also recovers positions in the global rankings.

And surprisingly, for the first time the country conquers the fourth position with as many as 16 female entrepreneurs with a fortune in excess of a billion dollars.

Billionaire women: Italy in fourth place

This is the result of the International Women’s Day Study. But who are these nine-figure managers?

At the top of the rankings, at 56th position with 6.57 billion, there is Massimiliana Landini Aleotti of the Menarini pharmaceutical industries.

It follows Miuccia Prada with 5.24 billion of assets in seventieth position e Alexandria Garavoglia of the family that controls Campari in 108th place with 3.4 billion.

So in 113th place there is Giuliana Benetton of the homonymous Veneto group with a wealth of 3.19 billion.

Right after Isabella Seragnoli in 114th place with 3.18 billion with Coesia packaging e Susan Carol Holland with 2.81 billion in 131st position, controlling shareholder of Amplifon.

Surprisingly, for the first time the country conquers the fourth position with 16 female entrepreneurs with a fortune exceeding one billion dollars.

Above Italy, Germany and the United States, below Spain and France

The 16 Italian billionaires who took Italy to fourth place, they see above them Germany with 32in second place China with 46 and in the first place, a reconfirmation, the United States with 92 women over a billion dollars.

After Italy, however, there are ex equo Australia and India with 9 billionaires each in fifth and sixth place.

Spain and Switzerland with 8 each still below and in tenth position always paired, Brazil and Sweden with 7 billionaires each.

Richest women ever

There France which as a position occupies the eleventh in the ranking, is however the country of first billionaire in the world or Francoise Bettencourt Meyers, heiress of L’Orealwith assets of $81.4 billion.

Always remaining among the richest of all, the second position is occupied by the American Alice Walton, with 60.16 billionthe main shareholder of the large-scale retail giant Wall-Mart.

With 59.6 billion dollars, in third position Julia Kockof the US oil industries of the same name, e fourth position Jacqueline Mars with 38 billion, at the top of the US giant of chocolate bars and sweets.

Finally, in fifth position with 34.9 million, there is Miriam Andelson whose family owns Las Vegas casinos and slot machines.
