Felix Magath is apparently about to make a comeback

Felix Magath became champions with FC Bayern and Wolfsburg and saved Hertha BSC from relegation two and a half years ago. Now another club has probably put out feelers.
Third division bottom club SpVgg Unterhaching is apparently in talks with Felix Magath. This is reported by the “Süddeutsche Zeitung”. Unterhaching hasn’t won a game since the beginning of September. Neither former coach Marc Unterberger nor his successor Sven Bender has managed to turn the trend around. That’s why Bender is now facing the end, they say.
According to the “Süddeutsche Zeitung”, club president Manfred Schwabl has contacted Magath and the talks have “progressed quite far”. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
But one thing is clear: Felix Magath has a reputation as a “firefighter” who saves clubs threatened with relegation from going into the lower league. He has already saved Eintracht Frankfurt, VfB Stuttgart, VfL Wolfsburg and most recently Hertha BSC. In the summer of 2022, he managed to stay in the league in the relegation – against his heart club HSV.
Since then, Magath has been looking and offered himself to HSV. But no employment came about. So now we could go to the Munich suburbs. And the task in Unterhaching would not be an easy one. The gap to a non-relegation place is already six points. But Magath has had good experiences with Munich: he won the championship and DFB Cup double with FC Bayern in 2004/05 and 2005/06.
