Fears of record number of refusals to vote in French elections could be bad news for Macron

With the war in Ukraine drawing the bulk of French President Emmanuel Macron’s attention, some in his campaign team fear that too little is happening domestically to encourage voters to head to the polls next month. Macron leads the polls, but if not enough voters show up, things could turn out badly for him.
