Fears of 179 deaths after plane crashes in South Korea: footage shows plane skidding off runway and catching fire

A plane carrying 181 people left the runway and crashed while landing at Muan International Airport in southern South Korea. This probably resulted in 179 deaths, the Korean news agency ‘Yonhap’ reported based on information from the fire brigade. One of the survivors was a female crew member. According to her, the engine had exploded, probably the result of a bird strike.
