Technical director Patrick Busby of FC Volendam indicates that a new employment contract will be discussed with a select group of players from the current A-selection at a later stage. “Brandley Kuwas, Ozan Kökcü, Mawouna Amevor and Myron Mau-Asam will receive clarity after the competition. Luca Blondeau and Mohammed Belfqih can expect an offer at very short notice.”
In addition, there was less positive news for two talents: “Anass Bouziane will not receive a new contract, but has the option to join the Under 21s on an amateur basis. Valenciano Perseit will also not receive a new contract and chooses to remain on an amateur basis. He will join the Under 21s,” Busby said on the Volendam club page.
End of career
We will not see Aaron Meijers (38) again at FC Volendam next season. The defender, who played almost 600 matches in professional football, has announced his retirement. He follows his teammate Robert Muhren, who announced his retirement last month.
Henk Veerman will still be a player for FC Volendam next year. It was announced on Monday that the number fifteen of the Eredivisie has included the option for another year in the contract of the 35-year-old Volendammer.
