FC Volendam today presented the new home kit for the upcoming season. The PhD student has of course chosen the familiar orange shirt and has this reworked with classic elements from the club’s past.
In addition to the references to the club’s previous season in the Eredivisie, part of the Volendam national anthem can also be found on the shirt. For example, the following passage can be read in the neck: ‘There is not a nicer place on the IJselmeer’.
New season
Last Monday was the first workout of the new season for FC Volendam. The first practice match of Wim Jonk’s team is scheduled for Friday 8 July. SV De Rijp is then the first opponent in the practice campaign† The Eredivisie starts for FC Volendam on Sunday 7 August with an away match against FC Groningen.
